Ladies and gentlemen, as we begin this new year, it is with mixed emotions that I bestow the coveted Jon Stewart Personal Hero Award on my new Personal Hero.
This man, who truly needs no introduction, was already honored here in The Most Important Blog... Ever as our endorsed pick for President of the United States. He has inspired the crack team of investigative reporters at ENN. He entertained and encouraged Your Most Important Blogger... Ever as he went to Japan with his invaluable book on Japanese culture.
As My Personal Hero, this man will join the illustrious ranks of Jon Stewart, the original winner of the Jon Stewart Personal Hero Award for his lambasting of CNN's terrible Crossfire program in 2004, and Al Franken for this encouragement after the depressing defeat of Bush's election.
And today, Dave Barry -- My Personal Hero -- has written what may be his final column in the Miami Herald. We here at TMIB...E salute you, Dave.
