"Hey, They told me Brett Favre was gonna be here!
    Is this even Green Bay?"

"man this snow is looking pretty good. there should be some pretty good powder when i hit the slopes after this memorial bullshit."

"I bet you could line up all 6 million of those Jews, give em all pads and helmets and everything, and they STILL couldn't stop Brett Favre. I woulda liked to see Goering try to line up in front of Reggie White too. Talk about a Final Solution!!"

    He is my hero.

  5. # Erik

Really, Phil? What do you think, then, of this guy -- Prince William and his infamous Nazi costume? Is he another of your heroes?

  6. # Phil

No. Are you suggesting a similarity between someone who isn't overly concerned with the clothes he wears (something I can identify with) and someone wearing a symbol of a regime that slaughtered 6 million Jews and 11 million people overall?

  7. # Erik

Phil, I'm suggesting a similarity between two public officials who obviously gave no thought to how their attire would reflect upon them and their countries. Moreover, both Cheney and Prince Harry clearly didn't consider how their appearance would make survivors and family members of those who perished in the Holocaust feel.

Frankly, I'm stunned that you'd call either of these people one of your heroes.

Look, I also respect people who refuse to follow norms and wear clothes that shake things up a bit. But both Cheney and Prince Harry crossed the line when they insulted those who lived through the Holocaust.

I'm sure you agree that trivializing that horror isn't in keeping with the image that we want our second-highest elected official portraying. Especially at a time when the image of the US and of Americans abroad is already abysmal. I hold my Vice-President to a high standard. Once again, he has failed. And that's why I'm calling him a huge douche.

By the way, I called the offending royal Prince William earlier. He is in fact Prince Harry. I regret the error. Now get back to reading the rest of my important and error-free blog.

Comparing Cheney's attire to Prince whatever-his-name-is admiration of Hitler is patently absurd. Once you admit this we can continue this conversation.

  10. # Erik

I don't think it's absurd to compare two prominient public figures who both wore inappropriate attire in a way that diminished the significance of the Holocaust.

Take your love for Cheney out of your analysis and then you might see that we're comparing apples to apples here, Phil. Both Cheney and Harry committed a serious faux pas and both involved the memory of the Nazis and the Holocaust.

Of course, Cheney wasn't championing the Nazis in the way that Prince Harry was, but Cheney's attire did suggest that he doesn't take the Holocaust and its legacy seriously. And Cheney represented you and me and all Americans at the remembrance ceremony. That's a faux pas if I've ever heard of one. And that's another reason why Cheney sucks as VP. Nice work, those of you who voted for him.

no phil, what's patently absurd is that every time you post, you expose yourself to be the mindless dickbrain that you are. dick cheney being your hero has nothing to do with the fact that dick cheney decided to dress like a homeless person for a memorial for dead people. please phil, do us all a favor and instead of reading something and then jerking off as fast as you can and just posting a reply based on which parts of the keyboard your jizz lands on, read the post, think about what is being said and post a logical reasoned response. is that too much to ask?

and f prince harry and the whole royal family.
