Two more tragic news stories from Israel/Palestine today as an Israeli soldier has killed a Palestinian man, apparently when the Palestinian tried to stab him in the Palestinian city of Hebron. Then, later, near Jenin another Palestinian was killed by Israeli troops in a gunfight. Once again, not a single one of the major US newsmedia websites that we monitor (see the full list here) has a story about either of these seperate events on their front pages. It is my contention that when Palestinians are killed by Israelis, the US media usually ignores the story, but when Israelis die, the story makes major headlines in the US.
Since January, this marks the 12th and 13th time that a Palestinian has been killed but there has been no headline on a US newsmedia website. We have only once seen a case where an Israeli has been killed and there has been no headline in the US media.
