Lots of tragic news from the Middle East today. Two Israelis were shot and killed late on Saturday, apparently by Palestinian gunmen. Thankfully, the Israeli army stopped an apparent would-be suicide bomber today and arrested him.
CBSNews.com carries this headline: Israeli Couple Killed In Gaza
The only photo accompanying this article shows the Israeli and the Palestinian flags and doesn't count in our tallies. The headline, also doesn't attribute the slayings to either side, so it too doesn't count.
None of the other sites we monitor carries a headline specifically about this tragedy. Most of today's coverage about the Middle East focuses on the Egyptian bombings and US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice's visit with the Palestinian leadership.
