The Real McCain

May 18th, 2008 · 2 Comments

John McCain is wrong on taxes, wrong on the economy, wrong on health care, wrong on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and he’s surrounded by big time corporate lobbyists.

Straight Talk?  That bus broke down years ago.  McCain has sold out to the Republican wing of the Republican party.  McCain, a war hero who himself endured torture, even sold out on torture.

John McCain is running for George W. Bush’s third term. If you’re happy with Bush, be sure to vote for his buddy John McCain.

what does selling out to the republican wing of the republican party mean?

McCain in 2000 was a different guy on the issues. Compared to most of his Republican friends, he had a sensible tax policy — he opposed the Bush plan to destroy the middle class, for example. Now, he supports the Bush plan and would make it permanent.

McCain had a humane line on immigration. Not any more — he’s for building a wall and deporting people before making sensible reforms to help the economy and to help people live dignified lives in America.

McCain had a sensible position on torture. Not any more — he caved and voted against a bill that would have prevented the CIA from using water torture.

On issue after issue, McCain has sold out to the right wing extremists in the Republican party. On the issues, he represents Bush’s third term.

If you like how Bush has done his job, then by all means, vote for John “Bush” McCain.
