Barack Obama’s plan for economic security cuts taxes for the vast majority of Americans.
For the 95% of Americans making less than $300,000 per year, Obama provides much, much bigger tax cuts than McCain.
But here’s CNN’s report about the McCain vs. Obama tax plan, featuring Charles Barkley:
That’s right, CNN only puts the top 5% of incomes on the screen. The rest of us are left out in this hard-hitting analysis, I guess because 95% of American taxpayers don’t matter in a discussion about taxes.

Also, Wolf Blitzer incorrectly reads the chart.
On average, taxpayers making anywhere from 2.9 Million Dollars per year up to 100 Billion Dollars per year would see their tax bill increase under the Obama plan.
In other words, if you make 3 Million Dollars per year, the Obama plan might increase your tax bill, but not by $700,000 — your bill will be increased by a lot less than that. But on average all people making more than $2.9 Million will see an increase around $700,000. So, the tax increase on you and your $3 Million plus your friend and her $300 Million when averaged together equals about $700,000.
But Wolf Blitzer makes it sound and look like Obama is raising everyone’s taxes. In fact, he cuts taxes for just about everyone watching CNN.
Way to go, CNN.

CNN’s just focusing on middle-class incomes Erik. If you’re not making at least $5 million you’re not rich yet (on John McCain’s planet). And if you’re not making over $160K then it’s probably because you’re too lazy to get a real job, and therefore don’t deserve consideration.

[...] After focusing on the economy and taxes, let’s turn this week, let’s focus on one of the President’s biggest responsibilities. International affairs are where the President’s capability to make change is greatest. The difference between a President with good judgment (Clinton) and bad judgment (Bush; Bush) can literally mean the difference between life and death. The choice is clear in 2008. McCain/Palin represent a continuation if not an escalation of the Bush/Cheney war policies. Obama/Biden represent cooler heads and a full use of diplomatic power before resorting to war. [...]
