ERIK AND BOYZ II MEN REUNITE

-- AGOURA HILLS, California

ENN reporters were among the hundreds of people on hand to watch the greatest R&B group of all-time reunite with Erik on stage.  It was almost exactly one year ago that Erik joined Boyz II Men on stage in Osaka, Japan, and the concert lived up to expectations -- it was exhilarating, thrilling, and sensual.

Despite rumors that Erik had left Boyz II Men due to his enrollment in graduate school, the other three members of the group moved quickly to bring Erik on stage as the sold-out concert began.

As Boyz II Men frontman Wanya Morris told an ENN reporter, "[Erik?]...  we... happy... he can... sing with us... [for the show.]  We're definitely... not... at the... end of the road!  Thank you."

Nathan Morris, another of the Boyz (no relation), seconded Wanya's comments about Erik: "...if you know the words, feel free to sing along [with Erik as he hits this solo.  Go for it, E Love.]"

In 2003, Erik took over for original Boyz II Men member Michael "Bass" McCary, who has since retired from the music business to pursue a career in architecture, according to the group's opening announcement.

The concert included some of Boyz II Men's greatest hits, including the song which broke Elvis Presley's record for the most weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 Chart -- "End of the Road," and the smash follow-up to that song (which again set the record for most weeks at number one), "I'll Make Love To You."  Nathan Morris, Shawn Stockman, Erik Love, and Wanya Morris also performed some hits from the group's newest release, Throwback.  This album features covers of some classic R&B songs including "You Make Me Feel Brand New" and "Sara Smile."

Despite the lack of a contract with a major record studio, Boyz II Men showed their classy side with some self-deprecation.  "Look," Shawn told the crowd, "we know you've heard the speech about 'the remake album' before, but we think you'll enjoy this CD."  The group thanked the crowd for their support in keeping Boyz II Men in the business for over 15 years, which is "no small feat," according to Erik.

Boyz II Men will return to California, due to popular demand, later this month.  Erik is expected to take the stage at that concert, and ENN will be there to bring you the story as it happens.  Stay with ENN, the most trusted name in Erik News.
