ASS Conference In Montreal Features Erik
-- MONTREAL, Quebec Sociologists from across the world converged upon this French Canadian metropolis over the weekend to hear Erik deliver a presentation about his Master's Degree research. The annual meeting of the American Sociological Society (ASS) took place over four days in this beautiful, cold, Francophone city. Erik did not address the conference until late on Sunday afternoon. "I had no intention of staying in this Canadian hellhole any longer than I had to," Erik told reporters while rushing to the airport on Sunday evening. "I mean, look at this piece of shit city. It has a convenient, inexpensive mass transit system, well-kept streets, dozens of beautiful museums, two world-class universities, and renowned restaurants to please every taste. It's nothing like a real, American city. Oh, and they hate it when you speak in American -- I mean, English -- to them. Get over yourself! This is North AMERICA -- OK? Speak English like everyone else in the hemisphere. Geez." Erik was forced to stay in Montreal from Thursday until Sunday, fending off adoring sociologists the entire time. "Yeah, they love me," Erik told ENN reporters trailing him at the convention center. He addressed a mostly overflowing crowd of 6 people on Sunday afternoon. Stay with ENN as we continue to bring you updates on Erik's surging career in Sociology. |
