ERIK ARRIVES IN WASHINGTON DC

Takeover plan nearing completion

ENN has learned that under cover of night, Erik slipped away from his keepers at UCSB and has set up a new Love Headquarters on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.

"It was time for phase three of the plan," Erik revealed, in an unguarded moment at a wide-ranging press conference in the shadow of the Capitol building today. "Well, by 'plan,' I'm of course referring to my bold move to join the ranks of Americans with a doctorate in sociology." Erik explained that he's doing "research and stuff" in DC which will keep him in DC "for a few months or so."

With little warning of Erik's impending arrival, DC-area residents reacted with a mix of confusion and arousal at Erik's sudden appearance. "I'm both confused and aroused," said one hill staffer standing near the Dupont Circle metro station. Another businessman, clearly disturbed yet complacent, told an ENN reporter, "Why didn't Erik get here sooner?"

ENN reporters were shocked to discover that Erik seemed to have taken on the shape and dialect of a cat. Erik refused to comment on the situation, saying, "Wicked transforming skillz, I has dem."

Finally, Erik was asked to respond to rumors that he's planning to run for President on an independent ticket. He laughed and said, "No, no. That's not how I'm going to get into the White House. All right, no more questions. See you all later... maybe," Erik said as he left the podium.
