Kibbutz Tzora

The Great Lakes Jerusalem Program 2000 stayed on Kibbutz Tzora for almost a month from September to October 2000, enjoying time volunteering in the community and learning from Israeli professors and from host families.  Originally, we planned to spend about 3 weeks there, and then another 3 weeks on a homestay near Bethlehem, in the West Bank.  Unfortunately, during our stay on Kibbutz Tzora, Ariel Sharon visited a sensitive religious site in Jerusalem and that sparked the current Palestinian uprising, which meant that we couldn't live in the West Bank.  The good news was that we were able to spend extra time on the kibbutz, which was non-stop fun.  Here are a few photos!
